Why Hiring A Wedding Planner Is A Good Idea




Hiring a wedding planner isn't just about hiring a wedding PA. I don't say this just because I am a wedding planner, but because there is so much more to being a wedding planner than handling your wedding admin.


When you hire a wedding planner you are hiring a someone who has become an expert in their field. They have spent time educating themselves and building relationships in the wedding industry.


A wedding planner is there to give you that helping hand and to make the process easier. Lifting the weight from your shoulders.

What do I mean by this?


  • We take the time to carefully sift through potential suppliers to make sure they are the right fit for you, your budget and your style of wedding. We make sure that what suppliers we recommend to you, are reliable (either through our own experience or through reliable wedding industry providers), thus taking the worry off your shoulders as to the reliability of your chosen suppliers.


  • We go to supplier meetings with you, giving you the best advice that we can regarding each aspect and element you want to include.


  • We help you stay on budget. This might not sound like something that is very worrying, but it can be easy to shift from your allocated budget, especially when you might not have portioned out your overall budget. In essence we can help you save money or at least not spend any more than you have budgeted for.


  • Depending on the planner we will help you with the design elements of your wedding (particularly if you are not creatively inclined).


  • Yes in part we do act a little like a PA because we do look after all your wedding admin (or as we like to refer to it as 'wedmin'.) We create your budget plan and budget tracker, your RSVP tracker, your planning time line, your wedding day schedule and much more on top of that.


  • And mostly we become your friend. Working closely alongside you it is inevitable that we will form a friendship.


  • We want to make sure that every step of your process is pleasurable and stress-free. We co-ordinate on the day, making sure that every supplier arrives, making sure that everything is set up the way you want it to be, checking that there are no health and safety issues and checking up on every detail. Our aim is to make sure that your wedding is one of success and that you can look back on the planning journey and the day with happiness.
